HelpAge India to host kids, grand parents get-together

Mysore, July 13 - HelpAge India is hosting a unique programme for children and their grand parents tomorrow at Rotary West Auditorium near Kamakshi Hospital here at 3 pm.

The organisation has invited children along with their grand parents for the Intergenerational event. About 100 children studying from V to X standards in City Schools will bring their grand parents to the event which is first of its kind in Karnataka.

The event includes quiz and games for children and grand parents.

Mrs. Rekha Murthy, Executive Officer, HelpAge India, Bangalore, told Star of Mysore that the event, called Golden Moments aimed at stimulating the minds of elder citizens through interaction with youngsters. It will help bring back their old memories.

HelpAge India is a voluntary organisation working for the welfare of the aged.

Mrs. Murthy said that the HelpAge India would present a DD for Rs. 3 lakh to Usha Kiran, Eye Hospital for its service projects. - MRS
