Blue film racket: Kodagu cops nab 3 in city

Mysore, June 5- The Kodagu Police, who are investigating into the Mysore Mallige blue film racket, have arrested three persons from the city for allegedly circulating the cassette and blackmailing the boy and the girl featured in the cassette.

Mr. A.B. Devaiah, Sub-Inspector of Police from Siddapura in Kodagu, and his staff raided a house in Udayagiri in the early hours of Monday and took into custody one Omprakash, the alleged distributor of the cassette. 

This arrest led to the arrest of two more persons — M. Saleem of P&T Quarters, Udayagiri and Abdul Rehman of Aizone Internet Centre, Ashoka Road.

The Kodagu Police, assisted by Mysore Police, seized many cassettes from these accused.

The Police have alleged that the accused circulated the cassettes in Mysore, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Kodagu districts.

As already reported, the boy who shot the blue film with his girl friend, had reportedly told the Police that he had shot the film for his personal use under the title Coorg Sweetie and he did not know as to who stole the cassette and distributed.-KBM&MRS
